Causes and Treatment
The brow descends with age. The forehead muscle (frontalis) lifts the brow up; the depressor muscles around the eye pull it down. As the depressor muscles strengthen and the frontalis relaxes, the brow gradually drops. Hooded eyes are typically the result of brow descent rather than upper eyelid changes.
The Botox brow lift selectively relaxes the depressor muscles (orbicularis, corrugator) so the frontalis lifts more freely. The result is a subtle but visible lift, with more open-looking eyes and a refreshed appearance, all without surgery.
The treatment takes 5 minutes, you'll see results in 7 to 14 days, and the lift lasts 3 to 4 months. Most patients combine it with regular upper-face Botox treatment.

Combine with regular Botox. Brow lift is typically added to a standard upper-face Botox visit. The dose is small, the cost addition is modest, and the brow lift compounds with forehead and 11s treatment for a fully refreshed upper face.

Realistic expectations: a Botox brow lift produces 1 to 3mm of lift, which is enough to dramatically open the eye area but won't replace surgical brow lift for severe ptosis. For patients with significant brow droop, surgery may still be needed.
The lift takes 7 to 14 days to fully develop and lasts 3 to 4 months on Botox, longer on DAXXIFY.

Will it look surprised or unnatural?
No, when dosed correctly. The dose is small and placed precisely. The lift is subtle (1 to 3mm) and looks like the brow position you had in your 30s.
How long does it last?
3 to 4 months on Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin. 6 to 9 months on DAXXIFY.
Can I get this if I have hooded eyes from genetics?
Genetic hooding (where the upper eyelid is naturally heavy) is harder to address with brow lift. We can still help with the brow position, but for upper eyelid hooding, surgery may be needed for full correction.
Most patients describe the injections as a series of small pinches. We use the smallest needles available and can apply topical numbing cream on request. The whole appointment is typically under 30 minutes including the consultation.
Will it affect my smile?
No. Brow lift is placed in muscles around the eye, not muscles that control smiling. Your smile remains fully natural.
How much does brow lift cost in Chicago?
