How do I know which medical spa treatment is right for me?

The honest answer is that it depends on your skin, your goals, and your lifestyle. That's why we recommend starting with a consultation. Our medical team will evaluate your concerns, look at your skin in person, and recommend the treatments that will actually move the needle for you. We're not going to push the most expensive option. If a chemical peel will get you better results than a laser, we'll tell you. The consultation fee gets credited toward your treatment when you book, so it's a practical first step with no downside.

Can I combine different medical spa treatments for faster results?

Yes, and in many cases we recommend it. Combining treatments is one of the most effective ways to get noticeable results in less time. For example, pairing Botox with dermal fillers addresses both fine lines and volume loss in a single visit. Layering a chemical peel with RF microneedling can dramatically improve skin texture and tone. Our medical team builds customized treatment plans that combine services strategically, always based on what's safe and effective for your skin. During your consultation, we'll map out a plan that makes sense for your goals and timeline.

How long do results last from different medical spa treatments?

It varies by treatment. Botox typically lasts 3 to 4 months. Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on the product and area treated. Sculptra results build gradually and can last up to 2 years or more. RF microneedling and chemical peel results are cumulative, meaning they improve with each session and last longer with a consistent schedule. Laser treatments like BBL offer long-lasting rejuvenation, especially with annual maintenance. During your consultation, we'll give you realistic expectations for timeline and longevity based on the specific treatment plan we recommend.

What medical spa treatments require downtime?

Most of our treatments have minimal to no downtime. Botox and fillers may cause slight swelling or bruising for a day or two, but most patients go right back to their normal routine. Korean facials and IV therapy have zero downtime. Chemical peels range from no downtime for lighter peels to a few days of peeling for deeper treatments. RF microneedling and SkinPen microneedling typically involve 1 to 3 days of redness, similar to a mild sunburn. Laser treatments like MOXI or BBL may have a day or two of warmth and minor flaking. We'll always let you know what to expect before your treatment so you can plan accordingly.

Are all the before and after photos real, unedited results?

Yes. Every photo in our before and after gallery is from a real Better Med Spa patient, taken in our Lincoln Park office under consistent lighting. We do not use filters, editing software, or retouching of any kind. What you see is what our patients actually achieved. We believe honesty builds trust, and doctoring photos would undermine everything we stand for. Yes. We want great results to be accessible, so we offer financing through both Cherry and CareCredit. Both programs let you split the cost of your treatment into manageable monthly payments. Cherry offers a quick application right from your phone with no hard credit check and plans starting with 0% APR for many patients. CareCredit works similarly with flexible payment terms. Our front desk team can help you apply before or during your appointment so you know exactly what your options are before committing to anything.
