How It Works

Smoker’s line treatment uses precise injections of neuromodulators or dermal fillers to soften the vertical lines that develop above the upper lip (often called “smoker’s lines” or “lipstick lines”). Tiny amounts of product are administered around the mouth to relax overactive muscles or fill superficial wrinkles. This gentle procedure smooths fine lines, refines the lip border, and restores a youthful, supple look — all without surgery or downtime.

What It Targets

Questions?

We're here to answer your questions and provide the best services for your needs.

What are smoker’s lines?

Smoker’s lines, or perioral lines, are the fine vertical wrinkles that develop around the lips. While often associated with smoking, they also result from aging, sun exposure, repetitive puckering, and genetic factors.

How do fillers work for smoker’s lines?

Soft hyaluronic acid fillers are injected into the lines and border of the lips to add subtle volume, hydrate the skin, and smooth away wrinkles. Results are immediate and can last 6–12 months, depending on the product and individual metabolism.

Are there side effects or downtime?

There are minimal side effects. Some swelling, redness, or bruising can occur, but it’s temporary! You can usually return to normal activities right away.

Will I look natural after my smoker's line treatment?

Yes, when performed by one of our skilled providers. The goal is subtle enhancement, with softened lines and natural lip movement.

What else helps reduce smoker's lines?

Medical-grade skincare, avoiding smoking, sun protection, and regular treatments like peels, laser, or microneedling all support healthier, smoother skin.
