MOXI® Prejuvenation

Better Med Spa’s tiered MOXI program uses a 1927 nm non‑ablative fractional laser to create micro‑columns of controlled thermal injury, speeding cell turnover and stimulating collagen for clearer, smoother, more radiant skin. Choose Level 1 Prevent & Refresh for a light glow‑up, Level 2 Revitalize & Maintain for deeper ongoing correction, or Level 3 Transform & Renew for more significant change.

How It Works

MOXI delivers fractionated 1927 nm thulium energy into the epidermis and superficial dermis, creating thousands of micro‑thermal zones surrounded by intact skin. This controlled injury accelerates exfoliation of pigmented cells and stimulates fibroblasts to build fresh collagen and elastin, improving tone, texture, and fine lines. Treatment intensity and density are adjusted by level: Level 1 uses lower energy and density for a lighter refresh; Level 2 increases coverage for more even tone and texture; Level 3 uses higher intensity and density patterns for more dramatic renewal while still remaining non‑ablative.

The 3 MOXI Levels

Level 1: Prevent & Refresh

  • Best for: Younger or laser‑new clients, early sun damage, dullness, and subtle texture changes; ideal “prejuvenation” and event‑prep treatment.
  • What it does: Light‑density MOXI for a gentle brightening and smoothing effect with very little downtime—think weekend‑friendly glow, minimal roughness, and quick return to makeup and social plans.
  • Use case: Quarterly or seasonal refresh; paired with BBL HEROic, facials, and K‑Beauty skincare to maintain a youthful canvas.

Level 2: Revitalize & Maintain

  • Best for: Mild to moderate pigment and texture issues, melasma‑prone skin, and clients who want noticeable improvement plus ongoing maintenance.
  • What it does: Moderate‑density MOXI that more aggressively targets sun spots, mottled tone, and pore size while still keeping downtime in the low‑to‑moderate range (a few days of redness and “sandpaper” feel).
  • Use case: Series of ~3 treatments spaced 4–8 weeks apart, then 1–3 times per year; ideal bridge between gentle prejuvenation and heavier resurfacing.

Level 3: Transform & Renew

  • Best for: More visible sun damage, stubborn pigment, early acne scarring, or etched texture in clients ready for a more intensive, but still non‑ablative, reset.
  • What it does: Higher‑energy, higher‑density MOXI pattern for stronger resurfacing within the 1927 nm non‑ablative family, creating more MENDs and driving more robust collagen and pigment turnover.
  • Use case: Typically performed as a short series with planned social downtime (several days of visible roughness and bronzing), often stacked with BBL HEROic in long‑term resurfacing plans.

What It Targets

  • Sun damage, diffuse pigment, and freckling across face, neck, chest, and other exposed areas.
  • Uneven texture, enlarged‑looking pores, and early fine lines or mild acne scarring.
  • Melasma and hormonally driven pigmentation with cautious, level‑appropriate settings and strict pigment‑care protocols.
  • Clients wanting to maintain results from BBL HEROic,, peels, and injectables with a predictable “skin gym” laser routine.

Benefits

Experience the ultimate laser treatment:

  • Customized intensity: The three‑level structure lets clients and providers match MOXI strength to skin type, goals, and upcoming events, avoiding a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.
  • Minimal‑to‑moderate downtime options: From lunch‑break glow (Level 1) to more transformative resurfacing (Level 3), MOXI stays in the non‑ablative lane, keeping recovery manageable compared with deep ablative lasers.
  • Safe across skin tones (with expertise): The 1927 nm wavelength and fractional delivery make MOXI adaptable for many skin types when protocols are adjusted, especially at Level 1–2.
  • Synergy with BBL: MOXI levels dovetail perfectly with BBL HEROic in staged plans—e.g., HEROic + MOXI Level 2 for “Glass Skin,” or BBL plus MOXI Level 3 for more advanced resurfacing journeys.

Questions?

We're here to answer your questions and provide the best services for your needs.

Which MOXI level should I start with?

New to lasers / minimal damage: Level 1 Prevent & Refresh. Mild–moderate pigment/texture or melasma maintenance: Level 2 Revitalize & Maintain. More pronounced texture/sun damage and comfortable with a few extra downtime days: Level 3 Transform & Renew.

Can I move between levels over time?

Yes. Many Better Med Spa clients start at Level 1 or 2, then “graduate” to Level 3 for a reset once or twice a year, then return to Level 1–2 as maintenance around seasons, events, and other treatments.

How does this integrate with memberships?

The three‑level structure makes MOXI easy to map into our memberships: for example, quarterly Level 2, plus a yearly Level 3, with optional Level 1 touch‑ups before important events. This supports predictable scheduling, clear upgrade paths, and strong perceived value while keeping skin on a consistent “Better” trajectory.

Is MOXI painful and will I need numbing?

Most clients describe MOXI as a warm, prickly sensation that is very tolerable, especially at Level 1 and Level 2; topical numbing is typically offered for added comfort and is more strongly recommended for Level 3 sessions. Cooling air and post‑treatment soothing products also help keep the experience comfortable and recovery easy.

What should I avoid before and after a MOXI treatment?

Before MOXI, clients are usually asked to avoid tanning, self‑tanners, and strong actives (like high‑strength retinoids or acids) for several days, and to disclose any photosensitizing medications. After treatment, strict SPF, gentle cleanser, bland moisturizer, and avoidance of heat, intense workouts, picking, or exfoliation until MENDs shed are crucial for safe healing and best results.
