What are preparations and after care for my Sculptra® appointment?

Before your Sculptra® treatment, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for several days, and limit alcohol intake to help reduce bruising and swelling. After the procedure, gently massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days to evenly distribute the product. Apply ice packs to minimize swelling, avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and steer clear of direct sun or heat exposure until any swelling or redness subsides. Most patients return to regular activities immediately after treatment.

How long do Sculptra® results last?

Sculptra® treatments typically deliver results that last up to two years, depending on factors like metabolism, treatment area, and lifestyle. Many patients see gradual improvement and enjoy long-lasting, natural-looking results, with occasional touch-ups helping to maintain their refreshed appearance over time. Compared to traditional hyaluronic acid fillers — which last about 6 to 12 months — Sculptra® stands out for its superior longevity and gradual, collagen-boosting effects.
